Recent adjustments to the CPO Fusion Program have made earning your certification more convenient than ever. Fusion Students start their CPO program online and complete their training with a single day in-class, cutting out-of-office time in half. Below, we answer the most common questions regarding this great training option.
What’s the difference between the two programs?
Traditionally, the CPO has only been offered as a two-day, in-class program. A second option now exists which allows students to complete their first day of class through an online program (commonly referred to as the Pool Operator Primer or POP). Once enrolled in this program Fusion Students can complete the POP on their own schedule. They finish their CPO program by attending the second day of any of our live classes.
How much time does the online portion take?
Recent updates to the Pool Operator Primer (POP) online program have made it seamless, faster and easier to complete. Whereas previous versions featured audio-driven segments that increased the average completion time, the latest version of the POP allows you to move through the content at your own pace. Typically, students are completing the online portion in 6-8 hours.
What’s the success rate?
Nearly everyone who starts the online program completes it. Fusion students usually score high on their live test. The online program serves as great practice for the content experienced on the live examination.
Do Fusion Students earn the same certification?
Yes, all participants earn the NSPF Certified Pool Operator designation upon successful completion of their live examination.
Is there a difference in price?
The Fusion program is $365.00 and the traditional two-day program is $345.00. The Aquatic Council has worked hard to offer our students consistent pricing for these two programs. Both prices have remained the same for over five years.
When are Fusion Classes offered?
All of our 2020 classes are Fusion eligible. You can enroll as a traditional student, or a Fusion student in any city, on any date.
Once started, can the online program be paused?
Yes. The POP can be paused and resumed at your convenience.
Is technical support available?
The NSPF provides technical assistance to all POP participants including phone and email support. If an operator is not available, they quickly respond to messages. Then Aquatic Council office is also available to help with technical and coursework issues. Simply call our office for quick help.
Will I get the same textbook?
Yes. All of our students are shipped the latest version of the CPO textbook upon enrollment. We ship via USPS Priority Mail, so most books arrive within two to three days. New in 2020 – the NSPF will also send you a digital copy of your textbook when you start your online program.
Can Fusion students still attend both days of the live class?
Absolutely! Completing the online coursework and attending both days of the live program is a great way to get the most from your CPO training. All Aquatic Council Fusion participants are welcome to attend the full two-day program in addition to their online training at no additional cost.
